How do I create a profile?

First, you need to Sign Up. You can do this via the navigation bar running horizontally across the top of this page. Click on Join the Networked Book Community; or use the link in the left sidebar.

What if I’m not affiliated with an organization and/or don’t have a website?

Type N/A.

Why do you need this information?

If the book goes to print and your comments are to be included, we’d like to contact you to let you know.

How do I comment?

Go to the chapter.

  • If you wish to comment on the entire chapter, do so in the comment box on the right.
  • If you wish to comment on individual paragraphs, click on the ‘speech bubble’ next to the paragraph number.

What will happen to my comments?

  • If the author decides to incorporate your comments into the original text, you will be credited (your name here, date)
  • If the project partners decide to publish Networked in print, you will be credited for the comments you contribute.

How do I translate a chapter?

Go to the chapter. In the left sidebar, under “Options,” click on Translate Page. Please include all of the image URLS and titles, as well as all of the hyperlinks.

Who owns the copyright to the book?

Networked: a (networked_book) about (networked_art) is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License.

Can I re-publish a chapter or a translation of a chapter elsewhere?

Only with proper attribution and for noncommercial purposes. Please read our Copyright page.

Will I benefit financially from this project?

If Networked is published in print, all proceeds from sales will benefit New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc. (NRPA), a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. If translations of the original chapters are published for profit (only with our permission), payments will be divided between NRPA and the translator.
